Book Pro technical specifications (iPad App)

Zomato Book Pro is a native, iOS Application. Unfortunately we do not support Android (nor are we likely to in the near future). This mainly boils down to performance and security. Zomato Book Pro follows all of Apple's standard guidelines and security protocols. 

iPad Specifications:

  • Apple's latest iPad (previously the iPad Air or Air 2) or better (16GB, Wi-Fi) – Required
    • iPad is recommended for most restaurants
    • iPad Pro is recommended for high volume restaurants
    • You are free to try and older device, however, we cannot guarantee system performance
  • iOS 10.1 +
  • iPad can have MDM (mobile device management) installed and restrictions turned on (however, system updates will be affected).  
    • Will require turning off auto-updates
    • Client is responsible for installing updates based on client’s cadence

*You are able to connect as many iPads as you'd like, they will all sync up in real time! Your username/password will be the same across all devices.

Chit Printer Integrations

Prerequisites:

  • Epson receipt printers will need to be reachable by one or more iPads
  • Can be connected either through Bluetooth or WiFi

Setup:

  1. Go to 'Basic Settings' on the iPad App
  2. Scroll down to 'Device Specific Settings'
  3. Locate the IP Address (if connecting via WIFI) or the Mac Address (if connecting via Bluetooth). To find this, please press and hold the small button on the back of the printer (next to the USB port). You'll need a pointy object, such as a paperclip. IMG_3226.JPGIMG_3224.JPG
  4. If connecting via WIFI, both the iPad and the printer will need to be on the same network. Type the following into the 'Epson Printer Connection' box: TCP:xxx.xxx.x.xxx (replace the x's with the numbers that appear from your printer for the IP Address).IMG_0032.PNG
  5. If connecting via Bluetooth, type the following into the 'Epson Printer Connection' box: BT:xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx (replace the x's with the numbers that appear from your printer for the MAC Address).IMG_5C0F52E694C0-1.jpeg
